Behind the Kitchen Door

In the Fall of 2003, our son was diagnosed with multiple food allergies. I was so overwhelmed by the future, wondering what he could eat, and living in fear of an accidental ingestion. I quickly discovered how supportive the food allergy community is, and we forged a new path, eating wheat-, dairy- and nut-free.  You couldn't buy a gluten-free birthday cake 19 years ago, so we made everything at home from scratch. Cakes, cookies, pancakes, brownies, pizza, bread;  all had to be reinvented. I want those who eat gluten-free to love eating baked goods again!  It brings me great joy to share this piece of my pie with you....
